Owner/Nakita Douglas

 

Nakita is the founder of Young Explorers Family Childcare Home. Nakita is native to North Carolina and has worked in childcare for over fifteen years. In 2012 she earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and later completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Barton College. During this time Nakita gained experience in working with children and adults with intellectual developmental disabilities and caring for the elderly population. Nakita’s background as a caregiver and early childhood educator has allowed her to set goals to foster and implement strong foundational skills for children ages six weeks to twelve years of age.
